To attract more jobs and opportunities to the Peninsula, it is important that keep Virginia the best place in the nation for business. To do that, we need to get government out of the way. As your Delegate, I will work to make sure that businesses can come here with a minimum of red tape and regulation. I will fight against tax increases that kill jobs and make Virginia less competitive.


Taxes and Spending

Virginia has been running budget shortfalls because Richmond has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. As your Delegate I will oppose higher taxes because I believe that state government needs to tighten its belt the same way Peninsula families do. We need to cut back on spending and stretch existing dollars farther, not ask struggling families and businesses to send more to Richmond. I will work with Governor McDonnell to increase efficiency, reduce duplication and root out waste to save you more of your hard-earned money.


 

Protecting the Constitution

We elect leaders to protect our Constitutional freedoms, not take them away or restrict them. But, as we have seen at the federal level with laws like Obamacare, too many politicians ignore the Constitution whenever they feel like it. As your Delegate, I will only support legislation that is in accordance with the U.S. and Virginia Constitutions. And I will always protect your Constitutional freedoms, including the right to own and carry a firearm.


Defending your Values

I firmly believe that strong traditional families are the bedrock of strong communities and a strong, vibrant Virginia. I will defend our shared conservative Virginia values such as the right to life from conception until natural death. I will also fight to protect the traditional definition of families and the rights of parents to make the best choices for their children.
